Field Manager Staff Responsibilities

Field Manager
- Each event will have a Field Manager for every 7v7 field (2 per 120-yard football field).
- Before the first game starts, field managers will help distribute player wristbands at the team check-in.
- Assist with rule interpretations, referee control, & and player/coach communication.
- Regular communication with refs and yelling out the score to teams and spectators.
- Update scoreboards
- Keep 22-minute game clock on phone or stopwatch (or have the ref do it)
- Ensure that games DO NOT start earlier than 10 minutes before scheduled start time.
- The Field Manager will be in charge of maintaining order during the game and ensuring the rules are enforced properly.
- If there is a dispute on the interpretation of a rule, the field manager can act as a liaison between the ref and the coach to make sure the rules are enforced properly.
- Help to de-escalate situations as they occur (players, coaches, spectators, refs, etc).
- Field Managers will be tasked with helping keep fans as well as teams that are not playing at an appropriate distance from the sidelines to maintain a safe playing environment.
- Each Field Manager will get a copy of the rules before the tournament, and there will be a rule sheet at each field for reference. Prep Redzone Official 7 on 7 Rules
- Field Managers will collect the scorecards from the refs after each game -
- Make sure that the total score is added up and circled on top
- Take the scorecard from the refs and have each coach sign the scorecard
- Scorecards will be collected after each game by the event director.
- You will also have to enter in the score in Sports Thread How to enter scores in SportsThread
- Ensure all players are wearing wristbands before and during the game!
- Note- you will want to download the Sports Thread on your phone to access the schedule!
